Description: The Purchasing Manager is responsible
for the management and negotiation of all capital
equipment purchases for the Imaging Division. This will
include working with Finance, Operations and Sales to
develop division-wide purchasing strategies and
processes, negotiating with Original Equipment
Manufacturers and/or other vendor to ensure optimum
pricing based on forecasted equipment needs and
developing/maintaining a purchasing database to improve
future purchasing decisions.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Working in conjunction with Senior Leadership,
develops system-wide purchasing processes and strategies
aligned with company goals; establishes purchasing
policies and procedures and ensures division-wide
compliance with established standards.
2. Establishes efficient procedures for responding to
Request for Proposals (RFP), initiates timely quotes
based on equipment specification and configuration, supports
sales team in exploring alternative equipment solutions
to meet the customer's requirements.
3. Develops and maintains company's purchasing database
to augment Sales, Finance and Operations performance;
analyzes previous quotes and purchase orders to identify
opportunities to negotiate better pricing based on
historical performance; develops and updates standard
equipment pricelist to allow Sales to provide real-time
customer quotes based on equipment specification or
configuration needs.
4. Develops a partnership model with OEM's and other
vendors, cultivates strong relationships with key
decision makers, uses influencing skills to drive
internal vendor changes that are focused on win-win
solutions; ensures company is viewed as a top-tier
customer by all vendors.
5. Negotiates all capital equipment purchases with
vendors; identifies opportunities to bundle multiple
purchase orders, leverages forecasted division-wide
equipment purchases to drive optimum pricing.
6. Drafts and submits purchase orders to OEM's and/or
other vendors, tracks purchase orders to ensure orders
will be fulfilled based on sales agreement with customer;
ensures on-time delivery and installation of equipment.
7. Forecasts changing market conditions/anticipated
changes in vendor pricing, recommends purchasing
strategies based on anticipated market conditions.
8. Supports Asset Management in negotiating new equipment
service agreements and/or upgrades existing service
related service agreements; ensures vendors are adhering
to prescribed service level agreements. Relocation Available: No

Requirements
-Bachelor's
Degree from four-year college or university.
-Candidate must possess at least Seven (7) years of
capital equipment purchasing experience; Medical Device
experience is preferred.
-CPM certification highly preferred, but not required.
