We have three positions open for an exciting career opportunity at our Rocklin, CA location for dedicated Grocery, Health & Beauty Aids, or Supplement’s Buyers. We are seeking applicants who have experience in the food industry and have worked in a distribution environment!

Our new team members will purchase and maintain adequate inventory levels for an assigned group of products, build relationships with vendors, maintain fill rates and be proficient in inventory turns, market trends, product spoilage and updating prices. Negotiations skills are very helpful and a plus. Some travel may be required for expo attendance or for vendor tours. Minimum of two years Buying experience in an office or retail/wholesale environment and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is a must. Experience:

• Min. 2 yrs working exper w/ ordering and purchasing systems in an office or retail environment
• MS Office; very proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Monitoring inventory levels and code dates
• Placing orders and negotiating prices
• Monitor slow moving items and purging
• Reports

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work well and effectively with a diverse customer base (including sales, marketing, transportation, operations and upper management)
• Ability to document work in progress
• Ability to answer customer, vendor, or broker questions and concerns promptly and efficiently
• Give proficient, prompt and impressive customer service
• Ability to complete moderately complex administrative paperwork and reports
• Ability to investigate, trouble-shoot, analyze and solve problems
• Autonomy and initiative

Mathematics Requirements:

• Ability to compute discount, interest, profit and loss, selling price, ratio and proportion and percentage rates
• Able to perform very simple algebra

Physical Strength:

• Sedentary work; sitting in front of a computer most of the time. Exerts up to 15lbs. of force occasionally.
