Job Description: Education: BA/BS in Business, Engineering or related Primary Responsibilities: Procurement Engineer, Global Sourcing and Logistics Coordinator Optimize costs of material to ensure competitive advantage. Optimize number of suppliers globally and consolidate purchasing power as appropriate. Outline a global purchasing strategy in cooperation with GP and local purchasing teams. Ensure multiple sources for all critical materials. Ensure delivery performance of global supplier pool. Ensure optimal localization of supplier pool. Ensure supplier capacity to meet forecasted demands. Liaison between Global Procurement and local sourcing. Analyze local supplier pool for global supplier candidates. Work with local teams to determine which commodities should be managed locally/globally. Support development of consistent metrics to measure performance of sourcing effectiveness. Facilitate best practice sharing among LD A sourcing teams Years Related Work Experience: 8-10 years experience sourcing mechanical and electrical components including sourcing from low cost countries such as China, India, and Mexico.
