Job Description:
This position will be responsible for reducing the total material costs of
Siemens Energy and Automation, by the driving of design to cost and
targeting cost processes. Deliverables to include: BOM evaluation and
implementation of potential cost savings. Provide competitive proposals for
product improvement. Development of a commodity plan based on an evaluation
of our current supplier selection. Development of purchasing strategies that
influence at the suppler level. Carry out benefit analysis workshops with
key suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to concentrate on the key
functions of the components/product in order to reduce cost.

Education: Engineering, ME, EE, IE required.
Years Related Work Experience: 5-7 exp in manufacturing environment (Large
Drives) in the form of manufacturing engineering, design engineering,
operations or purchasing.

Requirements:
1 Project/Program Management experience and proven skills
2 Monthly operations review with data-driven presentation skills
3 Cross functional teams, experience collaborating with design, operations,
global procurement, marketing.
4 MS Office along with MS Project
5 Exp in the power distribution industry (Drives) preferred
6 Experienced with cost reduction and redesign of products is a must
7 Ability to travel up to 15% and internationally
8 Ability to negotiate and build relationships.
