Join our Corporate Purchasing department in the role of Global Sourcing Agent. Ideal candidate will be bilingual English/Mandarin and possess strong verbal communication skills, the ability to research and source vendors in the US, Europe and Asia and negotiate and establish relationships with suppliers.

In this role you will be responsible to effectively represent the company in negotiating with manufacturers, distributors and representatives of supply companies and contractors in matters pertaining to the acquisition of goods, materials, and services which frequently culminate in substantial commitments and disbursement of corporate funds, while ensuring the company’s interest are protected in terms of quality, timeliness and overall costs. You will be responsible for the more complex procurement methods that require a greater degree of experience, knowledge, professionalism, and administration.

• Identify and develop sourcing opportunities throughout Asia.
• Negotiate and coordinate the procurement and delivery of material.
• Coordinate the purchasing activities of multiple plant purchasing groups.
• Seek out and develop new sources of supply on a global basis.
• Arrange and negotiate contract buying for critical materials.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct on-site audits of supplier facilities
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field or equivalent training in a related business or technical area.
• Previous experience in purchasing, customer service, marketing or other business related function required. Experience sourcing materials in Asia helpful
• Fluency in Mandarin required.
