| Southern California Edison Supply Chain Project Manager (Ref.# JP24518-SL) Location: Rosemead, CA Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Possesses five or more years in and a thorough knowledge of material and services contracts, including fixed price, time and material, and cost reimbursable contracts. Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply principles of financial analysis, activity based costing, and supply chain methodology. Demonstrated skills and abilities in professional field to include project, program, and contract management as well as directing cross-functional teams to address supply chain issues and problem resolution. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of customers and suppliers from service users to corporate officers. Demonstrated ability to understand and negotiate customer business requirements. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience in oral presentations, group facilitation, and negotiations. Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risk to negotiate successful contract resolution. Demonstrated ability to motivate others. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to incorporate both short and long-term goals and objectives when making recommendations and decisions. Demonstrated ability to respond promptly and effectively to conflict situations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively. Knowledgeable in and able to effectively use PC software applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc. Preferences: Degree: BA/BS, Certificate: C.P.M.. Broad knowledge of Supply Chain process and supporting activities. Strong knowledge of purchasing practices and policies. Knowledge of procurement contracts and standard terms and conditions. Typical Responsibilities: Responsible for contract management related issues to ensure contractual obligations are met so Edison can realize the full value for which it contracted. Responsible/accountable for development and implementation of supply chain strategies and business processes to meet Company, department, and business unit goals and objectives. Responsible for facilitating/leading various cross functional teams to assist in the implementation of various supply chain strategies. Responsible for the development, monitoring, and implementation of supplier performance goals related to cost, quality, and service related functions. Responsible for competitive solicitation, supplier selection, development of contracts, contract language, and associated terms and conditions to ensure appropriate risk mitigation (title, warranty, damage to Edison property or injury to Edison personnel, indemnity, infringement, professional liability, etc.) These contracts will routinely have multi-year terms valued at several million dollars to procure materials and services critical to Edisons business strategy. Responsible for negotiating contractual terms and other related commercial items that have a major financial impact on Edison. Responsible for coordinating and resolving field disagreements and potential disputes in collaboration with business unit representatives and suppliers. Responsible for providing leadership, facilitation, collaboration, total cost reduction, cost savings, and Supplier Diversity goals. Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and applying business tools (logistical, financial, commercial, risk, and cost analysis) to attain desired results.
